Whilst thankfully we recognise that children need so much more than a diet of chicken nuggets and twizzlers, equally the same can be said for a 'play diet' restricted to a concoction of springy chickens and twisters.... If we are to really improve the quality of play opportunities, we also need to provide children with access to more natural and creative play settings that help stimulate the senses and encourage greater use of the imagination.
